Unique Decorative Sideboard by Dieter Waeckerlin for Behr, 1960s
Unique Decorative Sideboard by Dieter Waeckerlin for Behr, 1960s
Very special small sideboard designed by Swiss architect Dieter Waeckerlin for Behr Möbel around 1960. A great modernist and purist design made of teak wood on a slim black lacquered metal base. These smaller sideboards by Waeckerlin are hard to find and on top of that his rare version has a beautiful and decorative wood pattern on the frontside. This might have been custom ordered because only a highboard is mentioned in the original catalog with this pattern, which I have sold in the past as well. The inside is finished with maple wood and consists of 2 adjustable shelves. Comes straight from the first owner and still in very good original condition with small traces of use. Cleaned and oiled.
