High-End Extendable Dining Set by Jørgen Høj for Niels Vitsøe, 1962

€10,500.00

Amazing dining set designed by Jørgen Høj for Niels Vitsøe in 1962. Featuring a round ‘Model 54’ table in Brazilian Rosewood with brushed aluminum cross-legs. Extendable from ø 115cm to a whopping ø 175cm thanks to four leafs in white laminate that are connected in an ingenious way. Combined with in total 8 matching chairs in beautiful patinated cognac leather. Jørgen Høj worked together with Poul Kjærholm and shared the same minimalistic ideas about form and materials. Jørgen Høj designed his model 54 table one year before Kjærholm did so the latter was actually inspired by Høj himself. This set is rarely offered and remains in fantastic original condition.
