EXTENDABLE 'TECTON' DINING TABLE IN ROSEWOOD BY V-FORM, 1965
EXTENDABLE 'TECTON' DINING TABLE IN ROSEWOOD BY V-FORM, 1965
Exclusive dining table in Brazilian Rosewood produced by V-Form in Belgium around 1965. This table was found together with a sideboard part of the ‘Tecton’ series which appears to be a high-end dining furniture line that V-Form produced only in very low numbers. The quality and details such as the rosewood grain and architectural legs are simply nothing like any other V-Form products. The table can also be extended thanks a central leaf in white formica which unfolds when needed. In great restored condition. We also have the matching sideboard available.
Remarkably the ‘Tecton’ line is not mentioned in the V-Form book which indicates how rare it must be. This also means I am not sure about the designer but my guess is it could be Pieter De Bruyne since he worked with the company at the time and has similar other designs.
