Belgian Modernist Sideboard by Roger De Winter for E.M.Y., 1960s

Large sideboard designed by Belgian modernist architect Roger De Winter for E.M.Y. around 1960. Made of teak wood combined with a black lacquered metal base and matching signature drawer pulls. Fully restored in great condition.

Roger De Winter (23/02/1923 - 19/03/2001) was a Belgian architect, active between 1948 and 1992. From 1954, De Winter started his own practice of residential houses and some buildings for small businesses in the region of Vilvoorde and in Brussels. Between 1958 and 1975 he worked mainly as a freelance designer for the furniture manufacturer E.M.Y., alongside Jean Batenburg.
