ABSTRACT OIL ON CANVAS PAINTINGS BY JOHAN DAESELEIRE, 1950S
Recently I came across a remarkable, mostly abstract, art collection sitting in an attic of a home that was being emptied. The artist is Johan Daeseleire (Antwerp / 1938-2020) and all works have been made during the 1950s. He studied at Sint-Lucas Art School in Brussels and also was a teacher there for a couple of years. But after going into sales he never returned to painting and never showcased his work. I have acquired these beautiful paintings from his children and they match our furniture very well so they will decorate the showroom and photos. So for now private collection and currently not for sale.
