€0.00

Beautiful cabinet from the ‘Abtracta’ series designed by Jos De Mey and produced in Belgium by Van Den Berghe-Pauvers during the 1960s. Made of walnut with a very decorative wood grain. Multiple modular shelves and drawers provide plenty of storage. In exceptional restored condition and comes with three original brass keys. We have a matching bar cabinet and dining set also available.

Jos De Mey (1928-2007) attended the Municipal Higher Institute of Architecture in Ghent, with none other than Gaston Eysselinck as his teacher. In the 1950s, De Mey himself became known as one of the best Belgian furniture designers, and rightly so. He worked as a designer for Van Den Berghe-Pauvers in Ghent, as well as for Luxus in Kortrijk. In 1968 he starts a successful career as a painter.
